State Natural Park Ala-Archa is located 41 km from Bishkek on the northern slope of the Kyrgyz Range at an altitude of 1600–4860 m. a.s.l. It covers an area of 2280 ha. The Ala-Archa River flows through the park. You will see landscapes of foothill steppes and mountain forests, where more than 600 species of plants grow, animals: Arkhar, Siberian roe deer, Capricorn, birds: stone partridge, chilli, cupcake, and Red Book animals: Turkestan lynx, golden eagle, snow leopard. As well as a convenient spot for picnicking weekenders, the park is also a magnet for hikers, horse trekkers, skiers in addition to the skilled mountain climbers looking for challenging ice, rock and mixed routes. The most highest peaks of the Ala-Too Mountains rise out from the Ak-Sai glacier, including Korona (4860m), Semenov-Tyan-Shan peak (4875 m) and Free Korea (4740m). In addition to more than 50 total mountain peaks, the Ala Archa gorge also is home to more than 20 small and large glaciers and 30 mountain passes. Trekking to almost 5000m is possible. 140 classified mountaineering routes of various levels of difficulty / complexity have been mapped out, but there are still more to be topographically explored. During our 1 day tour you will be able to do short trekking to the waterfall 3 hours one way.
